About MD Hellas
MD Hellas is based in Heraklion, Crete, and began operations in 1999 as an academic organisation providing education and employment opportunities in Greece and abroad. Through collaborations with recruitment agencies, employers, vocational schools and educational institutions, MD Hellas has sent more than 20,000 people for training and work abroad and hosted more than 50,000. Our experience in finding work, hosting internships and implementing European programmes is a solid foundation from which we build new partnerships. We specialise in creating a personalised experience — a perfect fit between culture, language, professional experience and academic education.
Our Service
MD Hellas provides specialised and non-specialised staff from Greece and various countries. We accommodate students from vocational schools, colleges and universities abroad for internships in Crete through Erasmus+. We also host teachers and professors attending courses and seminars.
The company organises apprenticeships in Greece for those from abroad, and in Germany for interested parties. We provide daily advice and assistance throughout the process — before, during and after the internship. Cultural seminars and excursions are also organised to make every stay a memorable experience.
Our Staff
The international team of MD Hellas comprises trained, multilingual specialists — teachers, administrative and financial personnel, and consultants. We have also established collaborations with local psychologists and sociologists to support interns throughout the process.
Staff involved in the Erasmus+ KA1 & KA2 programme have in-depth knowledge of German, Greek and English, as well as intercultural communication skills. They are trained in human resource management and have extensive experience in tourism and cultural diversity.
Location & Transport
Our Location
Our headquarters are in Heraklion, the capital of Crete — the largest island in Greece and fifth largest in the Mediterranean. Crete is famous for its beautiful beaches, archaeological sites and vibrant atmosphere.
Transport
All guests travel by public transport. MD Hellas provides monthly unlimited bus tickets to every intern and participant for the duration of their stay.
Facilities
Accommodation rooms with a capacity of 1 to 4 people are provided in fully equipped, furnished residential complexes with free WiFi. The apartments are located in Ammoudara, the tourist area of Heraklion, just 5 km from the city centre and next to the beach. The bus stop is within walking distance.
